Based in Wellington, David Patten has been practicing as a barrister since 1992.
His areas of specialty are employment law, conflict handling, mediation, arbitration and employment investigations into, for example, allegations of bullying, harassment, staff corruption and misappropriation of company property.
David Patten is a qualified mediator and arbitrator and is an experienced specialist in both these areas.
He is a Fellow of the Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand Inc (AMINZ) in both mediation and arbitration. He also teaches on the Massey University dispute resolution programme in the areas of negotiation, mediation and arbitration and has taught on the University's Graduate School of Business programmes on a variety of human resources subjects.
