Terms of Engagement
As a member of the New Zealand Law Society when I am instructed to carry out services (normally by another member of the legal profession), I have a statutory obligation to provide ‘the client’ with certain documentation. This documentation is designed to protect the interests of both parties.
The documentation includes an Engagement Letter which includes a summary of the services I will provide to the client and my fees for those services.
Attached to the Engagement Letter are my Standard Terms of Engagement and an Information Sheet required to be provided by me pursuant to the Lawyers: Rules of Conduct and Client Care of the New Zealand Law Society.
